I have been battling the FLU for a whole week now. Finally went to the Dr yesterday and she highly discouraged working out while feeling ill. She said to wait until I feel completely recovered before straining to do any kind of exercise. boo. This means I am now out a full week from p90x. I should probably just start completely over considering I was only one week in but I am hoping to complete one round before spring break and if I don't keep going on with week 2 then I won't be able to reach my goal. Being sick has made it very very difficult to eat. I don't think I have any taste buds left. Between sinus blockage keeping me from breathing and now the medicine I am taking nothing tastes good. For the first time in my life Ihave been actually searching for something I want to eat, ususally I am slapping my own hands to keep food out of my mouth! I have stuck to the diet plan as well as possible, definitely not getting as many veggies in as I should but I have been trying to steer clear of carbs over the past week. I have kept caffiene out of my diet and I haven't had carbination in 2 weeks now. I am still in awe of how easy it was to kick sodas this time.
Anywho-
I plan on resting through the weeking and trying to push play on chest and back on Monday. Lets see what happens!

FIRST POST!
Week 2 of p90x round 2.
So, since this is my first post of this blog I should give a little background info first.
I did my first successful round of p90x beginning August of 2010 and finished Thanksgiving Day. Unfortunately that day I also fall down a flight of stairs and cracked a rib! For anyone who has never cracked, bruised, or broken a rib~ the pain is indescribable. Imagine having a knife wedged between two ribs and every time you laugh, sneeze, breathe too deeply, move your arms/torso, etc, the knife wiggles around... So-- after a lengthy 6 week recovery I finally decided I needed to get back in shape. The whole time I was recovering I did nothing, and I mean nothing that remotely resembled exercise. In addition to this I ditched the diet as well so you can imagine how quickly I became out of shape.
January 10, 2010 I decided to start on round 2 and get rid of the pudge that crept back onto my body.
Beginning round 2 I am 27 years old, 5'4, and 133 pounds. My enemy is carbs and always has been. I <3 bread, and cake, and coke, and chips... The diet plan is probably the most difficult thing for me to abide by but I am already one week in with no off days and absolutely no soda!
My first week back was VERY difficult, I struggled through each dvd and thought I was going to pass out a time or two but I made it. Unfortunately luck is not on my side and I came down with the flu the day of Legs and Back. I slept and recovered all weekend and skipped my monday morning workout but I intend to push play as soon as I get home.
I am going to do doubles and I plan on starting the cardio workouts as soon as I am done coughing like crazy. My fiance won't commit to p90xing with me but he supports me all the way, after seeing my results after round 1 he agrees that I can get crazy good results this time as well.
We are getting married May 28, 2010 in Hawaii and I am looking to get the lean 6 pack every beach goer desires. I won't have enough time to complete 2 whole cycles between now and then but I will do as much as I possibly can! We'll see how this blog goes, I have never done one before but hopefully it will give me the extra motivation I need to stick with it and reach my goals!
